It's thought show producers told former X Factor star Dannii that they wanted her to judge alongside Little Britain's David Walliams and the show's longest standing judge, Amanda Holden.

Comedian Michael McIntyre quit the show earlier this year, while Baywatch actor, David Hasselhoff, was axed.

A source told the Mirror, 'David was confirmed this week and the producers think the line up's the best yet. He's a real favourite with the nation and Dannii is hugely popular. It's exciting for her to be coming back.'

Reports sugggest Minogue is yet to have signed a contract, as she is wary of the programme's filming schedule.

Not wanting a repeat of the the problems which led to her X Factor departure earlier this year, a source revealed the Aussie star has said Britain's Got Talent will need to fit around her son Ethan.

'She doesn't want what happened last time to happen again. Being a mum she has to plan ahead. It's as simple as that - Ethan is the priority. Dannii was really disappointed not to be able to return to the UK for this year's X Factor, so she wants to make this work.'

Dannii, who previously insisted that she had no immediate plans to return to British TV, has requested to have her filming schedule confirmed within days or will instead return to judge Australia's Got Talent.

'She needs confirmed shooting schedules and dates for the entire series before she packs her bags and lets other opportunities go,' the source added. 'It starts shooting in just a few weeks and she does have other offers to think about and consider.'

Amanda Holden confirmed her return on Twitter but didn't give anything away about the other judges. The actress tweeted to fans, 'You will all have to be patient re BGT. I am doing it inc auditions! But the rest will be an official announcement soooon!'
