She’s currently ranked as the world’s number one supermodel on Models.com, is the face of countless new season campaigns and a star in the latest Pirelli calendar, yet Lara Stone has revealed that she finds it hard to cope with people calling her ugly on the internet.
The stunning Dutch-born model, who is currently the face of Calvin Klein, DKNY’s Golden Delicious fragrance and Tom Ford beauty, opened up about the pressures of being a high-profile model in an interview with GQ magazine.
She said: ‘It hurts when you're having a tough day and someone says, "She's so f*****g ugly I wouldn't let my dog near her." '
According to Lara, the internet trolls set up a Facebook page to voice their opinions on her appearance. She added: ‘And 500 people “liked” it!’
However, one look at the accompanying GQ pictures – shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin – and you’ll wonder what the hell they’re talking about.
The images show Lara, who is married to Little Britian star David Walliams, naked on a beach but for a strategically placed fur coat, which shows off her amazing figure and the curves that have made her the most dominant supermodel since Kate Moss.

On the cover Lara is nude again, but for a white bed sheet protecting her modesty, with that signature smoulder and iconic gap-toothed pout.
Despite taking the modelling world by storm, rumours are swirling that the 27-year-old could be about to make the switch into acting and follow in the footsteps of Liz Hurley with a role in the forthcoming Austin Powers sequel.
A source said: ‘Lara's name has been touted in casting meetings for Austin Powers 4 and there is talk that bosses would like to get her in for a screen test – especially after she's talked about comedy in interviews.'
