But, it did happen on the filmset of the plot to some elaborate Hollywood movie.
See, Hugh and Zac are currently filming The Greatest Showman (a musical in which Hugh plays a renowned magician and Zac his mere assistant) together and in once scene Hugh does actually carry Zac's character out of a burning building.
Despite a crew of pyrotechnics being on hand to manage the flames, Zac Efron has revealed that things went a little off script and Hugh actually did end up saving his life.
Speaking to MTV News the star of Baywatch said: 'It started to get late, and some of the pyrotechnics got a little bit too hot. We burst out of the building. It looked great on camera. We didn't know it, but it was pretty intense. I watched playback, and he saved me from a burning building. It later exploded that night. It was a set, but it later burned down.'
