How Is Kate Middleton Spending Her First Birthday As A Mum?

Kate Middleton is celebrating her 32nd birthday today, with a quiet celebration at her home. Kensington Palace has confirmed that she won't be out and about in London for her big day, but instead, 'The Duchess of Cambridge will be spending her birthday privately,' the spokesperson said.
It's likely that the royal mum will spend her special day at her Kensington Palace apartment with close friends and family, though it's unknown how present the Duke of Cambridge with be, given that it's his first week in attendance at Cambridge University.
Prince William enrolled on a 10-week agriculture course on Monday morning, where he'll learn about rural planning policy, farming and supply chains and site management. It's all in preparation for when the Duke inherits the Duchy of Cornwall estate from his father, Prince Charles.
This time last year, Kate Middleton was pregnant with Prince George, and was just recovering from an acute bout of morning sickess which left her hospitalised in Decmeber. But she still managed to make it out for her birthday, spending the evening watching the Cirque Du Soleil in the capital with Prince William. Front row, of course.
Both Pippa Middleton and her mum Carole were spotted shopping in Chelsea this week, no doubt picking up last-minute presents for the Duchess' 32nd birthday.
And however she's spending it, Kate Middleton has plenty to celebrate. The Duchess is looking on to an exciting year where she'll visit New Zealand and Australia in April with Prince William and Prince George. And at least she can enjoy a glass or two of bubbles this year...
