Heidi Klum opted for a simple style as she filmed her first show for America’s Got Talent

Heidi Klum is not just a fashion veteran, she’s also taking on the world of TV as she joins the America’s Got Talent judging panel.

For her big show debut the model opted for a laid back look wearing a slinky little black dress.

As she greeted the crowds in New Orleans, Heidi showed off her golden tan and incredible figure in the low scoop-necked dress – proving black is anything but boring when worn by a supermodel.

The former Victoria’s Secret star kept her accessories minimal, opting for a bracelet to lighten her look as she waved to fans.

Heidi Klum joins a colourful collection of names on the panel, including former Spice Girl Mel B, comedian Howie Mantel and Howard Stern, who make up the new four-person panel.

Sharon Osbourne left the show last year, but Mariah Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon returns as the host for another season.

Clearly thrilled with her latest gig, Heidi told People of her excitement, saying: ‘I just arrived in New Orleans, and it was hard to go to sleep last night. I'm not sure who will be more nervous though - me or the contestants!’
