Thank goodness!

After Prince Harry seemingly batted Meghan's hand away at an event last week, we can all relax: their PDA at public events is back on.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the 'Your Commonwealth' Youth Challenge reception at Marlborough House in London yesterday, meeting and speaking to some of the young leaders there.

Unusually, Meghan strayed from her duchess uniform of pink, wearing a bright yellow midi dress by Brandon Maxwell.

However, the thing that caught the eye of royal fans everywhere was the lovely display of affection between the newly married couple.

The pair went back to old habits and briefly held hands as they arrived at the venue, before stopping to applaud performers – look carefully at the clip below and you'll spot it.

So, why the sudden U-turn on the PDA rules?

It's thought that, because the Queen wasn't at this event and it wasn't a palace reception, the formalities were a little more relaxed for the couple.

We're glad to see affection isn't completely off the cards in public from now on!
