Halle Berry may have only announced her pregnancy last month, but the star has been showing off her growing baby bump proudly while on the school run in LA.

The Oscar winner showcased her burgeoning bump in a clingy black dress as she took her adorable daughter Nahla to school yesterday.

Looking effortlessly stylish, the 46-year-old actress wore a short black dress as she went about her mum duties before picking Nahla up later in the day, changing into a pair of gladiator style sandals.

HALLE BERRY: PREGNANCY WAS A 'HUGE SURPRISE'

Last year Halle, who has been embroiled in a difficult custody battle with Nahla's father Gabriel Aubry, revealed her daughter was keen to become a big sister.

Berry said: 'Every night, we do our prayers, and Nahla says, "God, please bring me a bunk bed and a baby sister". And I say, "I can do one of those things, I know for sure. The other one, we’ve got to keep praying on."'

Halle and her fiance, French actor Oliver Martinez, have revealed they were shocked but overjoyed to learn they were expecting a baby boy.

'I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth,' Halle said in an interview with CNN.

'I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it's been a big surprise and the most wonderful,' she added.
