Exciting news, Gleeks! Just days ago the Hollywood rumour mill was alight with talk Gwyneth Paltrow could be headed for a guest spot in Glee. Now it’s been confirmed by show creator Ryan Murphy, who said he wrote the part especially for the star.

Ms Paltrow will be stepping on to the Glee stage at McKinley High, as a substitute teacher for Mr Schu, in an exciting two-episode-long cameo.
And it seems Mr Murphy’s keen to make the most of Gwynnie’s singing and dancing talents.
‘Gwyneth is a great singer,’ he told the BBC.
‘She's done it a little bit but and show everyone how great she is,’ he added.

The famous producer also confirmed newlywed Spaniard Javier Bardem will appear as a famous rocker, and joked that he didn’t need much persuading to take the part.
‘Let me set the record straight - I didn't have to convince him, he begged!' he said.
‘He loves the show and wants to play a crazy Spanish rock and roll singer so I'm going to do that.’
Glee season 2 is set to hit UK screens in January.
