This Grandma Freaked Out At A Taylor Swift Concert And We Love Her For It

What do you think of when you picture the typical Taylor Swift mega-fan? Young teenagers in the midst of high school? 22-year-old singletons who loudly (and proudly) proclaim that ‘22’ is their song? Or what about a 72-year-old grandma? Probably the first two, right? Well, this video may change your mind.
Taylor has made it a habit during her ongoing ‘1989 World Tour’ to bring out fellow celebrities on stage with her during the show and the growing list has naturally featured some of her squad (Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss have all made appearances) to some more random additions like Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe Buffay who sang ‘Smelly Cat’ with Taylor.
But it was during Swiftie’s sold-out concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on the 26th September when Mick Jagger joined the songstress on stage for a duet of the Rolling Stones’ classic “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” that this senior citizen seriously lost her s***.
In two videos uploaded onto YouTube after the concert, Rose Marie Fagan - who was attending the concert with her 10-year-old granddaughter, Stephanie and daughter-in-law, Michele - is seen in varying states of disbelief at the spectacle she is witnessing. The videos show her singing along while wearing a Taylor Swift merch t-shirt and screaming ‘Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god’ in a high-pitched squeal which is normally reserved to younger fans.
While Rose Marie was no doubt loving the concert beforehand, it seems it was Mick who got her all het up in the moment, as Michele revealed that Rose Marie is a lifelong fan of the Stones and missed out on attending their recent concert tour due to a serious health issue.
“They’re [The Rolling Stones] the music I dance to when nobody is watching. I love their music, I always have,” Rose told Entertainment Tonight. “I have been lamenting [missing the Rolling Stones concert]. Anybody who is a friend or faily member has listened to me say, ‘The one thing on my bucket list still is to see The Rolling Stones. I hope they go back on tour. I’d go anywhere in the world to see them now.’ I go on and on.”

And when she realized she was seeing Mick Jagger in the flesh and her world class freak out? “It was like, ‘Why is he here?’ It’s Mick Jagger, Nashville, Taylor Swift audience. It’s like, does that go together to you?! It’s like an oxymoron. Why is he here? He’s here for me! It’s divine. It’s just magic. This whole thing happened for me. I’ve seen so much footage of the old Elvis tapes, the Beatles, and these girls screaming and pulling their hair out and fainting. I get it. I had that experience for the first time in my life, where you’re just so overwhelmed with joy and excitement. It was just one of the best memories of my whole, entire life.”
The video - which has gone viral - even caught the attention of Taylor yesterday when she retweeted it to her 64million followers with the message ‘Why I like bringing out surprise special guests on tour’
