Gordon Ramsay slams restaurant for refusing Victoria Beckham's salad request

The expectant mum had asked for her dressing on the side but was refused by the chef.
Pregnant Victoria Beckham was left disappointed at a restaurant recently, when the chef refused to serve her salad with the dressing on the side - stating it was restaurant policy to make no substitutions - no matter who is asking.
But the restaurant found itself in hot water for the denied request, as Victoria was dining with close friend and legendary ranter Gordon Ramsey, who took no time in letting his feelings be known.
The chef was shocked when the Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California refused to alter his friend’s meal - despite the fact that it was such a simple request. Posh, who is eight months pregnant, wanted her salmon trout salad to be left plain.
‘I couldn’t believe it,’ he is reported to have said in the Daily Mail, ‘The lady’s pregnant! No one is asking to be fussy, I still think that’s the customer’s prerogative. It was a sour note.
‘I don’t think customer’s should be treated that way. That might not be the way I choose to eat it, but that’s what the customer wants.’
The restaurant soon piped up though, defending themselves in the Sunday Mirror: ‘We treat everybody the same in here and it doesn’t matter who you are. We have a policy that we don’t make substitutions. It doesn’t matter if you are famous or you have allergies.

'Gordon Ramsey should know better. The smoked trout is one of our favourite items and has been on the menu almost since we started three years ago.'
Despite the quibble, the chef still praised the restaurant overall, deeming it 'great'.
