Glee cast 'excited' about Lindsay Lohan cameo

The starlet's set to appear as a Nationals judge in an upcoming episode of the show…

As out and proud Gleeks here at mc.co.uk, we don't mind admitting that we were more than a little excited when news of Lindsay Lohan's guest spot on Glee was announced.

And we're delighted to hear the rest of the cast are too.

Cory Monteith has revealed they're 'super excited' for Lindsay's special starring spot on the show, which will come in one of the last episodes of the season.

'We're super excited,' he gushed to Access Hollywood the latest Glee news.

'She's been through it all and I'm excited she's coming to the show.'

Last month it was confirmed Lindsay will star as herself in the all-singing, all-dancing hit, serving as a celebrity judge to the McKinley High crowd at Nationals.

She'll join the ranks of famous faces who've already bagged a cameo role in the show, including Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, John Stamos and Gwyneth Paltrow, who bagged an Emmy for her role as zany Spanish supply teacher Hollie Holiday.

Lindsay's cameo comes despite the starlet being made the butt of a Glee joke during a previous episode, when Gwynnie's character taught her McKinley High class to say 'Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?' and 'How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab?' in Spanish.

So could this be Li-Lo's career comeback?
