Gisele Bundchen is about to become the first supermodel billionaire thanks to her rapidly expanding business empire.
She has reigned as the world's top-earning model for seven years in a row, but Gisele is about to become the world's first billionaire supermodel (and also the first Brazilian female self-made billionaire).
Having already fronted high-profile campaigns for labels like Versace and Dior, Gisele is in the process of 'branding herself', a move that will see her walk off the runway and into the record books.
The businesswoman launched her own lingerie company in a joint venture with Brazil's version of Victoria's Secret, Hope, last May, but instead of just lending her name to the company, Gisele created her own brand, Gisele Bundchen Brazilian Intimates.
The 40 piece range has proved popular in Latin America, Portugal, Japan and Israel and is expected to expand worldwide after the fashion retailer recently reported a 40% increase in turnover.

Not only does the 31-year old, mother-of-one design and model the underwear collection, she also holds a stake in the company, a savvy move that will reportedly add $19 million per year to her estimated annual salary of $45 million.
Combined with the eco-friendly cosmetics company, Sejaa Pure Skincare, she founded, and owns 100% of, the stunning model is also creative director to fashion retailer C&A’s Gisele Bundchen Collection.
