Panic-stricken TV nutritionist Gillian McKeith had to by rescued by medics on the I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here set yesterday, after fainting during her first Bushtucker Trial.
The star – who lay in a rat infested crate during the dramatic ordeal – was meant to be unlocking padlocks around her arms and legs in order to free herself, and win food for the rest of the team.
But Gillian – who has phobias of rats, insects, heights and enclosed spaces – panicked and passed out in the wooden box, forcing worried medics to step in and haul her out.
She was resuscitated and given Oxygen by the trained staff - who are always on standby during the gruelling tasks – before making her way back to the camp.
‘I wasn’t expecting anything in there. I thought there was going to be tons of water on my face, I couldn’t see the lock,’ Gillian told the rest of the camp of the task.
