Is Hollywood's favourite bachelor to star in the sequel to the film that made his career?
There was a time, believe it or not, when George Clooney was only really known as Dr Doug Ross in medical drama series ER. Now probably the most eligible bachelor in the world, the 49-year-old actor has the film Out of Sight to thank for his movie breakthrough and worldwide popularity.
Now, there are plans for a sequel to the hit 1998 film, with George set to reprise his role as bank robber Jack Foley.
In the original, the Ocean’s Eleven star shared some rather steamy scene with Jennifer Lopez, but as yet there is no word on whether or not the starlet will join George as Karen Sisco, the US Marshall who falls for his charms, in this latest venture.
The new film will be an adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s sequel novel, Road Dogs, which sees Jack Foley being released from prison and getting into trouble with a dangerous crime boss.
The author praised the actor's skills, claiming: 'Clooney is one of the few actors who can deliver the words exactly the way that I heard them when I wrote them.'
Sandra Bullock is said to be a firm favourite to play the female lead, a documentary film maker part-inspired by The Hurt Locker’s Kathryn Bigelow.
