UPDATED: George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have married after a weekend full of picture-perfect Italian celebrations, concluding with a legally binding civil arrangement today.
New pictures of the couple show that Mrs Clooney chose an all-white Stella McCartney top with tailored trousers and matching wide-brimmed hat for the official ceremony in Venice today. See the gallery above for all the incredible images.
The 3 day-long wedding started in Venice on Saturday as friends including Emily Blunt, Cindy Crawford, Anna Wintour and Matt Damon formed an A-list flotilla on the city’s Grand Canal.
Amal chose an Oscar de la Renta gown for the ceremony itself, which took place at the seven-star Aman Hotel while George opted for an Armani suit.
Guests tucked in to lobsters, lemon risotto, fried polenta and mushrooms before dancing the night away to a playlist that included Amy Winehouse, Daft Punk, the Jackson 5 and Blondie. The bride and groom even left a personalised iPod in each guest’s room so that the party could continue beyond the day itself.
British-Lebanese human rights lawyer Amal pulled-off a wardrobe of stunning pre and post-ceremony looks by Italian couturier Giambattista Valli and the nation’s favourite, Dolce and Gabbana. When in Venice, right?
