Lady Gaga treats newlyweds to an impromptu pub gig

Generous Lady G bumped in to the married couple in a London pub, and decided to serenade them with a song

Generous Lady Gaga decided there was cause for celebration when she bumped into a newlywed couple in a London pub last week, and treated the lucky pair to an impromptu private gig.

The happy couple were enjoying a quiet drink at the Raven pub in Chiswick to celebrate their recent nuptials when the international songstress walked in.

‘It was unbelievable. We were toasting our future by drinking champagne and beer with some guys we met in the hostel we were staying at,’ newly married Julie Searle told the Sun.

‘Then Lady GaGa, dressed in this fabulous cerise dress, came in with her entourage. She stood at the bar and ordered a drink for everyone.’

And it seems the happy pair – who married during their backpacking trip – couldn’t believe their ears when the star asked if they were celebrating.

‘I said, “Yes, we got married.” She said, 'That calls for a song.' She asked if anyone could play the guitar. A French friend called Sam - one of the guys from the hostel - rushed back to get his.’

Gaga then proceeded to serenade the ecstatic pair in a private back room, with the aid of their friend and his guitar.

‘After he came back he spoke with her and her people and they played Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones for us in the back room,’ she said.

‘She was really cool but her entourage stopped anyone recording it. I would have liked a reminder, but then I'm sure I'll never forget it. It was lovely of her.’
