If, like us, you were beside yourselves with excitement at the prospect of seeing Renee Zellweger reprise her role as unlucky-in-love Londoner in Bridget Jones 3, then we have exciting news...
Film bosses are in talks to hire Full Monty director Peter Cattaneo for the movie - reportedly to be named Bridget Jones's Baby - and are planning to start work on filming as early as the beginning of next year.

It's thought Bridesmaids director Paul Feig had originally been signed up for the role.
But after several drafts of the initial script, it seems film bosses decided a British director would be better suited to the job, and tracked down director of The Full Monty, Peter Cattaneo.
Now it's reportedly full steam ahead for the movie, with filming set to start in January 2012.

Entertainment Weekly confirmed the third movie starring Renee had officially been given the go-ahead back in August, with film bosses hoping to start work on the project as soon as possible.
Talk suggested execs could have begun planning the remake back in 2009, but failed to convince the starlet to reprise her role in the hit franchise.
Now the Renee is officially on board, along with Colin Firth, Hugh Grant and the rest of the film’s famous cast.
And we could not be any more excited.
But we'll have a bit of a long wait on our hands - the film won't be hitting screens until early 2013.
