The very first sneak peek at the Man of Steel has been revealed...
Ever since Brit boy Henry Cavill was unveiled as the brand new Man of Steel - a replacement for Brandon Routh - we've been on the edge of our seats waiting to sneak a peek at the first snaps of the man in action.
And now the first official movie pics are finally here.
Dark, brooding and rather dramatic, the snaps show the muscly superhero in his Superman suit - which seems to have been given a modern makeover.
The new shot comes hot on the heels of yesterday's news - that oscar-winner Laurence Fishburne will play newsman Perry White in the flick.
Diane Lane and Kevin Costner have already been confirmed as Clark Kent's parents, while Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond will play his Kryptonian guardians, and Amy Adams Louis Lane.
It's thought our new man of steel was first up for the part back in 2006, but was pipped to the post at the last minute. But this time he made sure he got his hands on the coveted action role.

Movie execs have praised the smouldering star as the ‘perfect choice’ and say they are delighted to have him on board.
‘In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognised and revered character of all time, and I am honoured to be part of his return to the big screen,’ director Zack Snyder said of the film.
'I also join Warner Bros and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.’

role? Or did you have someone else in mind to play Superman? Let us know
