Jamie Dornan WILL play Christian Grey, as author E.L James confirms the actor for the Fifty Shades Of Grey film.
With news of Jamie’s casting surfacing yesterday, we’re expecting A LOT of happy faces as E.L James takes to Twitter.
And it looks like she’s just as smitten with The Fall star, as she wrote: ‘Stow your twitching palms ladies… our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1 x’.
At a quick glance you’d be forgiven for thinking she’d written #TeamFitty, at least that’s what the giggling gals at Marie Claire HQ decided.
So there we have it, Jamie Dornan has officially replaced Charlie Hunnam in the risqué role, set to hot up Hollywood in 2014.
If Jamie’s steamy Calvin Klein campaigns are anything to go by, the Northern Irish actor won’t disappoint either. While Dakota Johnson shows no signs of following in Charlie’s twitchy footsteps. Phew!

It’s thought that Jamie bagged the role in a casting last week, where producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti put his Christian chemistry to the test opposite Dakota as Anastasia Steele.
Filming for the movie adaptation is expected to begin pretty soon, with Jamie having just wrapped up his latest project, New Worlds.
It’s also rumoured that the pair have signed up for a possible three further Fifty Shades films, depending on how the first installment is received. And with Jamie on board, we’re expecting that to be very well indeed. Swoon.
