The Evening Standard Theatre Awards was one seriously stylish affair, with some of the industry’s most prestigious stars braving the cold to attend the annual ceremony held at London’s Old Vic.
It was a night where Nicole Kidman was named Best Actress for her role as Rosalind Franklin in Photograph 51. James McAvoy took the award for Best Actor for his part in The Ruling Class, and Gemma Arterton was named Best Newcomer for Made In Dagenham.
Alongside the winners, there was a whole host of A-Listers making up a stylish crowd. Salma Hayek stepped out in a daring white creation, Pixie Lott wowed in a black cut-out number, and representing the boys, a very dapper Richard E Grant who slipped into a tux for his moment on the red carpet.
But let's talk about those red carpet style winners, shall we?
As ever, our eyes were firmly fixed on incredible gowns, and there was plenty of looks on offer to inspire your next party outfit.
Here's just a few of our favourite style moments from the night:

First up, Gemma Arterton (pictured above): It’s a brave lady who takes on a pink gown for the red carpet, but Miss Arterton gave us all a lesson on why it’s time to re-think pink. Opting for a 90s-style slip design, the Brit beauty kept her look red carpet-ready with some high-shine metallic heels and some statement accessories.
Nicole Kidman is no stranger to an elegant red carpet moment, but we think this could be her best yet. It’s impossible not to fall for Kidman’s column-style gown. The high-neck shape is incredibly flattering, the form-fitting silhouette perfectly showcases Nicole’s enviable figure, whilst the subtle monochrome detailing brings gives this classic shape a relevant edge.
Watch out Suki, it looks like Immy Waterhouse is the new stylish sister to watch. Seen here in a waist-baring black gown, Suki’s equally beautiful little sister stunned in this darling look. And it didn’t stop there - we think the 20-year-old has sparked some serious party hair inspo with those tousled waves, too.
Jessica Brown-Findlay proved that black will never be boring on the red carpet in this asymmetric gown. The dress in question is Stella McCartney, and is the perfect choice for the Downton Abbey actress. Jessica completed her look with some equally chic metallic heels, a box clutch and an ultra-elegant updo.
Making a rare appearance on the red carpet, Kate Beckinsale slipped into this floor-grazing gown. Not only is this gown perfect for the petite actress, but we’re totally captivated by the beautiful paint-inspired print too. Bravo, Kate.
