Eva Longoria has revealed she is godmother to adorable Harper Beckham, and will attend her Christening in London

Eva Longoria has revealed she will play godmother to the latest addition to Victoria and David Beckham's adorable brood, little Harper Seven.

The Desperate Housewife and Victoria Beckham's BFF gushed she is 'thrilled' to have landed the job, and can't wait to get started.

Confirming the celeb couple have asked her to take on the special role in their daughter's life,Eva revealed the couple are planning to hold a Christening in the UK, and of course she will be there.

'Victoria asked me to be Harper's godmother and of course I said yes,' the actress told the Mirror earlier this week.

'I'm absolutely thrilled. Harper is simply adorable.'

We'll certainly second that.

According to reports, David and Victoria are planning a lavish ceremony at their Hertfordshire home later this summer, with celebrity pals Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and Will and Jada Smith rumoured to be invited.

'David and Victoria feel it's important Harper is christened. And they wanted the ceremony in the UK,' one insider revealed to the Mirror.

Lucky little Harper won't be the first of the Beckham's children to have bagged themselves a celebrity godparent.

The couple's eldest sons Brooklyn and Romeo both have Elton John and David Furnish as their godparents, and were christened at the couple's Hertfordshire home.

'David and Victoria feel it's important Harper is christened. And they wanted the ceremony in the UK.'
