Emma Stone Is Taking On One Of The Greatest Ever Disney Characters

Emma Stone is set to take on one of the most iconic Disney characters ever, Cruella de Vil, in a new live action prequel to 101 Dalmatians.
Simply called Cruella, the movie will tell the story of just how the puppy-snatching villain came to be so, well, cruel, and, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the Spiderman actress is in talks for the lead role.
It’s clear that we love a live action remake at the moment, with Cinderella dominating the box office last summer, Emma Watson playing Belle from Beauty And The Beast and a whole cast of A-listers taking on The Jungle Book.
It’s 20 years since the last 101 Dalmatians film was released in 1996, and following the success of Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent in 2014, Disney bosses clearly saw that we love a great villain as much as a new princess.
Of course, Miss Stone’s got some seriously big Dalmatian print stilettos to fill, as the last person to take on the iconic role was Glen Close for the last live action remake in 1996.
But who will play Anita and Roger? How much will Emma have to practise that cackle? And will Cruella switch to e-cigarettes in 2016?
