Emma Roberts was seen crying in the arms of Evan Peters yesterday following the announcement of her arrest, which she is now calling a 'misunderstanding'.
The couple released a joint statement in the wake of Emma's alleged 'attack' on her American Horror Story actor boyfriend, Evan, that took place in their Montreal hotel room and left him 'bleeding' and with a 'bite mark'.
The statement reads: 'It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it.'
Emma, who was photographed crying into her mobile phone outside the New Orleans Studio, was released from custody just hours after questioning when Evan refused to press charges against her.
The star of Wild Child and niece to actress Julia Roberts has been working alongside her actor boyfriend filming American Horror Story and appears in forthcoming comedy We're The Millers co-starring Jennifer Aniston.
Just days after the incident, Emma was spotted with bruises to her knees and a grazed elbow.
