It turns out Emilia Clarke didn’t score an invitation to the royal wedding - just like all of us.
The actress, who was in England last week to promote her latest film Solo: A Star Wars Story, made an appearance on The Tonight Show last night and Jimmy Fallon was curious to know if she attended the star-studded event.
‘I genuinely, sadly wasn’t at the royal wedding. But I feel like I really should have been. I was there in spirit and Instagram,’ she said. Clearly a fan of Harry and Meghan, Clarke continued to discuss the bride's Givenchy dress. ‘It was beautiful, right? It was gorgeous. I think she kind of smashed it.’
Hoping for a bit of wedding drama, the actress even skipped a work event in order to watch the couple tie the knot. ‘I had a screening of the Star Wars movie for my friends and family on the day, and I didn’t get my dates right so I didn’t realise and I sort of thought no one would turn up but they did,’ she joked.
‘So then they watched the movie and I watched the wedding. I was kind of maybe hoping for a little domestic or something. Spice it up a bit but nothing happened I think. No one even fell. It was seamless. It was just a perfect day.’
After the wedding banter, Fallon tried to get her to spill the beans on the final season of Game of Thrones. ‘You’re shooting the last season right now. Can you tell us anything? Do you know anything? How secretive is everything?’

Emilia Clarke, or Daenerys Targaryen to fans of the HBO series, is obviously not allowed to discuss the ending, but she did confess one thing: I think they are fooling us. I think they are doing loads of stuff and they are not even telling us because they don’t trust us and rightly so.’
I guess we'll have to wait until 2019, when the final season hits the screen.
