Emeli Sande has had a very exciting 12 months; she currently holds the accolade of having the best-selling album of the year, and this weekend she reportedly also earned herself the title of wife after marrying her long-term boyfriend.
The Daily Record reports that the singer tied the knot with Adam Gouraguine in a small, private ceremony in Montenegro, where he’s originally from.
The newspaper claims the wedding was held by the picturesque Porto Montenegro marina - appropriate seeing as Adam is a marine biologist.
A source revealed: ‘It was a fairly traditional service in the evening. Emeli looked beautiful in a designer dress. Her fiancé wore a lounge suit.
‘There will be more celebrations before everyone heads home, but Emeli now has some time off so will get to enjoy a proper honeymoon.’

The award-winning singer previously said she’d like to take her husband’s name, and will now be known as Emeli Sande Gouraguine.

The songstress also spoke about her desire to start a family and for her children to grow up being exposed to a variety of cultures.
She said: ‘I would also love to have a Montenegrin passport. I want to be part of his tradition. I grew up in a family of two different cultural backgrounds, so I embraced both.
‘One day when we have kids, I'd like them to be the part of these two different cultures.’
It’s believed Emeli did not perform at her own wedding although she treated locals to a free gig in Kostor on the eve of her big day.
