Elton John rumoured to have become a father for the second time

Reports from the US claim Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish have welcomed a new addition to their family

Fatherhood appears to suit Sir Elton John and his partner, David Furnish, so much so they’ve reportedly become parents for a second time.

The New York Post claims the couple have welcomed a new addition to their brood via a surrogate. The pair’s son, Zachary, who was born in 2010 on Christmas Day, will play big brother to the new baby, who is believed to have been delivered by the same surrogate.

It’s thought the woman is based in California and is a close friend of the couple’s. A source told the newspaper: ‘Elton and David love this lady like a sister and they feel indebted to her for life.

‘Naturally she has been well rewarded. But her identity will never be revealed. They are over the moon.’

And who can blame them? Having a new baby will certainly complete Elton and David’s family unit.

The reports are yet to be confirmed by the couple’s spokeperson but it has not been denied with the statement simply saying: ‘We never discuss our clients’ personal lives.’
