Singer and DJ have parted after 18 months

Pop singer Ellie Goulding and her Radio One DJ boyfriend Greg James have ended their 18-month romance.

The tell-tale signs that Ellie Goulding and Greg James were drifting apart came last autumn when she moved out of their apartment.

And now, after 18-months of dating, the couple have offically separated due to busy work shedules.

'Things had not been right for a while but they only called it a day a month ago. It was just a real struggle for them to be in the same place at the same time,' a friend told The Sun.

Adding: 'The split is amicable and they are still friends.'

The Starry Eyed singer seems positive however.

She spent Christmas in the walmer climes of Thailand with friend Jessie J and on NYE tweeted: 'Next year is mostly about my new record, being a good person and my first marathon. Really grateful for my life.'
