It has been seventeen years since Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and my girl Drew (Barrymore, of course) took on the iconic roles of Charlie's Angels in a remake more noughties than a spaghetti string vest top.
And considering that 2017 has a massively nostalgic movie hangover and is rebooting everything from Dirty Dancing to Mary Poppins, it may come as no surprise that Charlie's Angels is also getting a modern makeover.
Oh, yes. It's time to dig out Destiny's Child's Survivor album and put Independent Women on repeat, because the noughties answer to nineties girl power is back – and we need it now more than ever.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures has given the go ahead to remake the 1970s show - originally starring Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith - and it should be ready for us in June 2019.
And with Elizabeth Banks – Hunger Games actress and Pitch Perfect 2 director – at the helm, we're pretty sure it's going to be nothing short of amazing.

Although casting details have not been released, many are speculating that Elizabeth might call in pals like Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone and Brie Larson to fill the Angel's shoes, with others suggesting that Janelle Monae might get a starring role.
