Downton Abbey Series 4: FIRST Look At Tom Branson's New Love Interest
Come series four of the period drama, Tom Branson is ready to move on from Sybil with his daughter's new nanny
Come series four of the period drama, Tom Branson is ready to move on from Sybil with his daughter's new nanny
Downton Abbey's Tom Branson looks set for a steamy storyline as it's been revealed he'll hook up with his daughter's new nanny in series four.
Daisy Lewis has joined the cast of the hit ITV series for the upcoming series – and we've got the very first shot of the actress on set.
With her period costume and curly red locks, Daisy looks stunning in her first scenes, which were filmed in Bampton, Oxfordshire yesterday.
You may recognise National Youth Theatre-trained Daisy, as she appeared in Doctor Who, playing Javit. Yesterday's pictures show the new nanny – whose name has yet to be revealed – strolling around the local marketplace, but she's also shot some incredibly romantic scenes in a meadow, where it looks like she becomes stranded with Tom Branson when his car breaks down. How convenient…
Tom Branson, played by Allen Leech, was left devastated when he lost his wife, Lady Sybil during childbirth at the beginning of series three. He was left to bring up the couple's daughter – who he also named Sybil – while battling with his grief.
An ITV source said yesterday: 'Tom is in emotional pain but he soon finds the stunning Daisy too much to resist. The pair hit it off and become the talk of Downton.'
