Meghan Markle’s mum Doria Ragland has inspired this royal romance novel
And we need to read it NOW.
And we need to read it NOW.
Meghan Markle is undoubtedly the most talked-about woman in the world, from her new arrival baby Archie to her recent Smart Works collection.
But this week it was her mother, Doria Ragland, who was the news focus.
Unlike the other side of Meghan’s family, Doria has proven to be incredibly popular with the British public. And from her bringing snacks to the seamstresses for her mother-of-the-bride outfit fitting to her setting the fashion world alight with her pale green Oscar de la Renta look, she has become a firm favourite.
It’s hardly surprising therefore that the 63-year-old has inspired a new royal romance novel.
Yes, this is not a drill. There’s a new royal romance book coming to our shelves and it’s all inspired by the Christmas that Doria Ragland spent with the royal family.
Following the news that yoga instructor Doria had received an invite from the Queen herself, Margaret Willison tweeted: ‘I [now] NEED a charming romance about the single mother of a new Duchess falling in love with an appropriately aged royal retainer while spending Christmas at Sandringham.’

Best-selling author Jasmine Guillory responded: ‘I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE’.
Months later, and the Doria Ragland inspired novel - Royal Holiday, is officially here.
But what can we expect?
‘Vivian was a single mom when she raised her daughter, she worked hard all of her life and never really had time for anything but her daughter and her family and work, and I wanted her to find love, and someone who values her for how great she is,’ the author told Oprah magazine.
‘In Royal Holiday, this is the first vacation she’s had in years, and I loved both giving her a real fantasy experience, and also exploring her emotions around relationships and work and family. And I really loved writing her love story with Malcolm!’
If you’ll excuse us, we’re off to read this from cover to cover.
