Meghan Markle's mum Doria Ragland rushes to UK ahead of due date - is it time?
Mum to the rescue!
Words by Maisie Bovingdon
Meghan Markle has set tongues wagging that she could go into labour at any moment, because her mother, Doria Ragland, has arrived in the UK to be by her daughter's side.
The former Suits actress has everyone across the globe on tenterhooks waiting for the news she has welcomed her first child with husband Prince Harry, especially as she has refused to follow royal protocol and stand outside the Lindo Wing to pose with her newborn when the little one has arrived.
In the past few weeks Prince Charles, Serena Williams, and make-up artist Daniel Martin have hinted to Meghan's due date and the sex of her baby, but the ultimate clue Meghan and Harry will become parents imminently comes with the arrival of Doria.
On Easter Sunday Doria - who is yoga instructor and social worker - made the journey from Los Angeles to London, Entertainment Tonight has reported, in time to meet her first grandchild.
Meghan has a very close relationship with her mum. Doria was the only member of her side of the family to attend the royal wedding last year, as her father Thomas Markle was absent from her special day, which meant Prince Charles stood in to walk the 37 year old down the aisle.
Despite claims Doria was going to move into the parents-to-be's home at Frogmore Cottage, an insider has told PEOPLE she will not be a live-in grandmother for her daughter and son-in-law, instead the pair are planning on hiring a 'manny' (male nanny) to help out.
