Demi Moore has been released from hospital

Demi Moore has been released from hospital after receiving treatment for a reported seizure.

According to E! News, the 49-year-old star has checked out of the Sherman Oaks Hospital in California, where she was rushed, following a 911 call, on Monday night.

At the time, Demi's spokesperson blamed the star's hospitalisation and reported seizure on stress and exhaustion.

A statement said: 'Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.

'She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.'

However, it has been claimed that Demi was hospitalised because of anorexia and substance abuse problems.

At the time of Demi's hospital dash, her estranged husband, Ashton Kutcher, was working and seen partying in Sao Paulo, Brazil, but has since flown back to Los Angeles.

It's not yet known if he has visited Demi, but a source told People magazine: 'Ashton is deeply concerned for Demi. He still cares about her and wants the best for her.'
