Demi Moore has been rushed to hospital to seek treatment for exhaustion and 'overall health' problems, her spokesperson has confirmed.
The actress, who recently split with husband of six years Ashton Kutcher, was taken to hospital by ambulance following a 911 call.
Her representative said: 'Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.
'She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.'
The celebrity gossip website TMZ.com has reported that the actress is being treated for substance abuse but her representatives have refused to comment on those allegations.
The 49-year-old filed for divorce in November 2011 after a 22-year-old woman called Sara Leal claimed she'd had a fling with Kutcher.
