David Beckham has been accused of driving recklessly, before being involved in an accident on one of California's busiest highways earlier this month.
The football superstar was travelling with eldest son Brooklyn on 6th May, when his Cadillac Escalade ploughed into the back of a Mitsubishi that had stalled in the fast lane of the 405 freeway. The driver of the other car was taken to hospital, but both Beckham and his son were unharmed. Fellow motorists have now alleged that the 36-year-old was 'definitely speeding' as well as cutting in and out of traffic and tail-gating the car in front of him in a reckless manner during rush hour traffic.
The news of David's irresponsible behaviour comes as entertainment website TMZ published telephone calls made to the emergency services following the accident.
'I let him pass by and he was driving so recklessly. I should have put the lights on him so that he could stop,' one motorist said to emergency services.
Another added: 'The guy with the SUV was speeding really bad.'
One motorist summarised the accident: ‘[The SUV] pulled out of the car pool lane and pulled back in, kind of breaking a couple of traffic laws.

‘I guess there was a car with its hazard lights on in the car pool lane that had stalled out or something and he rammed it in the butt. He was definitely speeding and cutting in and out of the double yellow lines prior to that. He was right in front of me,’ he added.
As of yet, the father of three hasn’t been charged with any driving offences following the accident, with a spokesperson stating: 'As unfortunate as accidents are, David was not cited by the police at the scene for any violations.'
