David Beckham and Sofia Vergara star in the sizzling new ad campaign together
David Beckham and Sofia Vergara have combined their respective attractions for the latest Pepsi commercial. The 35-year-old football star and 38-year-old Colombian actress shot the tongue-in-cheek ad on Venice Beach, set to a soundtrack by jazz singer Sarah Vaughan.
The pair were spotted having a laugh while shooting the scenes a few weeks ago.
The ad opens with the actress sunbathing in an electric blue swimsuit, craving a can of Pepsiafter spotting a little girl with one.
In order to beat the long queue to the front of the soft drink stand she hatches a plan to distract her competitors. This being the digital age, she uses Twitter to dupe them.
‘At the pier… just saw @David Beckham,’ she tweets, watching the crowds disperse in search of the hunk, while she gets her much needed sugar rush.
But hey presto! David Beckham is actually at the beach!

Kicking a ball at her sunlounger, he asks, ‘What’s going on over there?’ while the thirst-quenched beauty stares on in shock.
The ad closes with Sofia taking a long sip of her Pepsi.
Both stars have previously worked for the soft-drink giant, Sofia beginning her career in Pepsi ads.
‘I started my career in the entertainment business many years go with a Pepsi commercial that became very big in Colombia and Latin America,’ she said. ‘So it’s fantastic for me to be doing it again!’
David has also worked on ads for them before: ‘I’ve been a part of the Pepsi family for a number of years, and I’m back! So I’m excited,' he told fans.
The commercial was aired for the first time last night on US television screens during an episode of Chuck.
