Could Simon Cowell be changing? After the big bust-up yesterday the X Factor judge gives in to Danyl Johnson's demands.
After drama teacher Danyl Johnson stormed out of the X Factor yesterday and threatened to quit the show, Simon Cowell has backed down and will allow Danyl to sing Careless Whisper.
We reported yesterday on the big X Factor bust-up between Danyl Johnson and Simon Cowell. And it was clearly a story you felt strongly about.
Danyl had his heart set on singing Wham's classic Careless Whisper but Simon put his foot down and refused to let him sing the hit, insisting that Danyl sing George Michael's Praying For Time.
After a heated argument Danyl blew his top and stormed out of rehearsals and ran off down Battersea High Street in South London.
Thankfully, Danyl returned to the studio and after crisis talks with Simon Cowell Danyl was allowed to sing Careless Whisper.
Simon eventually backed down and let Danyl have his own way - unheard of for tough-talking X Factor judge Simon! Simon brushed off the row as just a 'storm in a teacup,' and blamed the 27-year-old's meltdown on the pressure of the competition. He said, 'The frustration got to him and he boiled over but when we talked it through he was as good as gold.'

'It was always going to be one of those two songs and it turns out Danyl had set his heart on the other one.'
It seems the diva strop paid off for Danyl who is now allowed to sing Careless Whisper on Saturday. Simon confirmed, 'Danyl is going to sing Careless Whisper on Saturday and it is an incredible version. We love it,' he said.
