The Brit star has reportedly riled ‘furious’ film bosses after agreeing to star in the How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which would leave him unable to promote the much-hyped final Harry Potter flick.
But when execs stepped in to negotiate the matter, it seems the theatre was reluctant to release Mr Radcliffe from his contract, forcing Warner Brothers to buy up thousands of pounds worth of tickets, in compensation.
‘The studio absolutely could not do it without their big star,’ one source told the New York Post of the final Harry Potter premiere and promotional tour.
‘But the theatre producers dug their heels in and would not release Daniel unless Warner bought out the entire theatre.

‘Warner Bros. is furious that Radcliffe committed to Broadway when he should be promoting Harry Potter. This is the final film, so it's a big deal.’
Reports suggest the red-faced film studio spent nearly £300,000 bailing Daniel out, to ensure he will be in London during the big event. Oops.
Yesterday it was revealed the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II premiere would be the‘biggest ever,’ with the July 7 event being staged in London’s Trafalgar Square.
