Well here’s something we weren’t expecting! Bond star Daniel Craig and About a Boy actress Rachel Weisz have married in secret, a publicist for the pair has confirmed.

The spokesman spoke only to confirm the event, but has yet to release any more details about the private nuptials.

Reports suggest the pair could have tied the knot in New York last Wednesday, in a small ceremony attended by just a handful of people.

It’s thought Rachel’s four-year-old son Henry and Daniel’s daughter Ella were both present at the nuptials, plus a close group of family and friends.

Despite their whirlwind romance, insiders claim the private pair are 'madly in love,' but wanted to cement their relationship with ‘minimum fuss.’

'Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding,' one source reportedly told the News of the World.

'They are madly in love and couldn't wait to be husband and wife - but they wanted minimum fuss.’

Rumous that Daniel and Rachel – who met on the set of upcoming flick the Dream House - had begun dating first surfaced before Christmas, after Rachel split from Black Swan director fiancé, Darren Aronovsky and Daniel parted ways with fiancée Satsuki Mitchell.

And just weeks later, the Hollywood pair were spotted cosying up during a romantic stroll through the Dorset countryside, on Christmas Eve.
