The pair have kept their happy news under wraps, until now
Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend Christine Marinoni have welcomed a son, after Christine gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Monday.
The pair – who have released no details of the child’s biological father - had not announced they were expecting, and have kept their happy news under wraps until now.
Now a rep for the pair has confirmed the exciting arrival of Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni, and revealed mother and baby are doing well.
'Christine and baby are doing great,' a spokesperson told American magazine, People.
Cynthia confirmed her relationship with Christine – an education activist – in 2004, after splitting with boyfriend Danny Mozes.

'In terms of sexual orientation I don’t really feel I’ve changed,' she revealed at the time.
'I’d been with men all my life, and I’d never fallen in love with a woman. But when I did, it didn’t seem so strange. I’m just a woman in love with another woman.'
Cynthia and Christine live in New York with Cynthia’s two children Samantha 14, and Charles, 8.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
