Courtney Love accuses former flame Steve Coogan for Owen Wilson's attempted suicide
Courtney Love has blamed former flame Steve Coogan for Owen Wilson's attempted suicide. In the astonishing claims, Love has accused the British comedy star for encouraging Wilson's use of cocaine and heroin.
In a statement she says, 'Under normal circumstances I wouldn't comment, but I care too much about Owen.' She added, 'I went through it with Steve. I tried to warn Owen.'
Coogan has vehemently denied the accusations and a spokeswoman yesterday revealed that legal action may be taken against Love: 'These accusations are unfounded, unhelpful and hurtful to all concerned. We are taking legal advice.'
The two actors were working together on comedy film Tropic Thunder, directed by Ben Stiller. It has now been revealed that Wilson will not star in the film, and will take time out from his career to properly recover.
