An homage to the late Glee star is being planned for the 26th Annual Emmy Awards ceremony
Cory Monteith will be honoured in a special tribute at the 2013 Emmy Awards following his sudden tragic death in Vancouver on 13 July.
Plans to pay homage to the Glee actor are in swift preparation after the memoriam was confirmed by event producers.
Every year, the primetime American show features an 'In Memoriam' section featuring images and video clips of television icons who have passed away.
Last year's section paid homage to Armageddon's Michael Clarke Duncan and Desperate Housewives' Kathryn Joosten but the section will have long seen such an emotive tribute as to young actor Cory who died of a heorine and alcohol overdose, aged 31.
The event's executive producer, Ken Ehrlich, admitted that owing to time constraints, the team were under pressure to compile the tribute - it is felt that the tribute will stand alone from the traditional video reel format.
Ehrlich, told one news website that the show would include, 'something that reflects an homage' but added, 'what the extent of that is, or how we're going to approach it...well, it's too early to tell.'
