Claudia Schiffer reunites with Karl Lagerfeld for the spring/summer 2008 Chanel ad campaign
Claudia Schiffer will star in Chanel's spring/summer 2008 campaign, twenty years after she first modelled for the design house.
Karl Lagerfeld confirmed Schiffer's supermodel status when he chose her to be the face of Chanel two decades ago. She worked with Chanel for five years before being replaced in 1996, and famously fell out with Lagerfeld when he replaced her with a slimmer model to fit the heroin chic look of the time.
At the time Lagerfeld commented 'Claudia is part of another world, another fashion, another spirit, another time. It would not be easy for Claudia to change. She doesn't need to model any more.' The pair were back together again though last week, with Lagerfeld directing the three day photo shoot in St Tropez.
The photo shoot took place on a beach, and saw the model pose in a strapless star-print jump suit, a sheer chiffon dress and a tight-fitting denim jacket.
