Fernandez-Versini no more...
It's official: Cheryl has gone back to her roots and legally changed her last name back to Tweedy.
Her boyfriend Liam Payne confirmed the news during a radio interview on Friday, the day after Cheryl returned to social media to break her silence on motherhood.
Despite heavy speculation that the pair just got married, it seems she's gone back to her maiden name for now.
Liam told Radio 1Xtra: 'Her name is officially Cheryl Tweedy now, but to be honest it doesn't really bother me. We have a kid together; there's a lot more to our life.'
The couple welcomed a son, Bear Payne, in March and held a 'meet the baby' party for him earlier this month. A spokesperson for Cheryl has also confirmed the news of her name change to MailOnline.
Cheryl took ex-husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini's last name when they married in 2014, but since their divorce she has gone by her first name only professionally. Before Fernandez-Versini, she went by Ashley Cole's surname from their marriage in 2006, keeping his name after their divorce in 2010.
