Simon Cowell has revealed Cheryl Cole is on the mend, and will be leaving hospital 'within the next day' to continue recuperating at home.

Speaking at a charity event to launch a campaign for specialist burns clinics, he told the Mirror Cheryl is 'doing much better'.
'Cheryl's doing much better. She is keen to get back to work but I just want to make sure she doesn't rush back,' he said.
Talking of her hospital stay, he told how she's been given the go-ahead to leave the private clinic, revealing: 'She will be out within the next day.'
A friend also revealed the suffering X Factor songstress has been made great progress, and is 'beginning to laugh again'.
'It's been a tough fortnight but the worst is over,' the insider said.
'Cheryl is lying up in bed, texting and watching DVDs and is beginning to laugh again.'
The good news comes just days after bosses ditched plans to film the bootcamp stage of the competition in front of a live audience at Wembley.
In a statement released yesterday, an X Factor official said: 'Due to the unusual circumstances, we are changing the format of Boot Camp slightly this year and we will not be inviting an audience to watch the contestants being put through their paces.'
It's thought Dannii's maternity leave and Cheryl's illness could have forced the further changed to the schedule.
