The new judge pulled out all the style stops for her first official X Factor appearance

Cheryl Cole is clearly determined to bring a healthy dose of fashion to the X Factor judges' table this season.

The former Girls Aloud singer - who confirmed her return last night - showed up at her first official event for the competition show this afternoon in London.

Dressed in a sexy, black peplum dress, super-cute patterned courts and round sunnies, the 30-year-old singer looked fabulously chic.

But the real focus was on her lovely blonde locks.

Cheryl gave us a taste of her new 'do last month when she Instagrammed a playful snap of what appeared to be a dramatic ombre dye job.

We're not sure if she coloured it again or if it's just the lighting, but her long locks now appear to be a much more uniform blonde shade.

Either way, Cheryl's new hair looks gorge - and we can't wait to see more of her flawless style once The X Factor returns later this year.
