Cheryl Cole’s A Million Lights tour kicks off with just four outfit changes

Cheryl Cole put in a powerful performance for the opening night of her solo tour

Cheryl Cole put her dancing shoes back on last night (Wednesday) as she ruled the stage at the opening night of her A Million Lights solo tour in Belfast.

She was every inch the performing goddess as she rocked an array of looks although the number of costume changes were disappointingly low, at just four.

But when you’re Cheryl Cole and look as flawless as she does in any fashion perhaps a handful of looks designed by Renelou Padora is all you need.

The singer opened the show in a gold jumpsuit heavily embellished with a gold cuff, belt and necklace. And if pulling off such attire wasn’t enough to prove she had the Midas touch, Cheryl added gold ankle boots to the ensemble before perfecting some more unusual dance moves including grabbing her crotch.

There were plenty of energetic dance routines, Cheryl is clearly keen to step away from any comparisons with her Girls Aloud days and opted for plenty of jumps, aggressive arm movements paired with slower, more sensual swaying.

Although, saying that, the singer did pay homage to her former band by singing three of their tracks, The Promise, Biology and Love Machine.

She followed this with 13 of her own songs including a duet with a hologram of will.i.am as well as her big hits, Promise This, Parachute and Fight For This Love.

She added the right dose of glamour to the evening in a leather pencil skirt with matching peplum and cropped waistcoat. This was followed by a purple sequined number with cut-out panels around the waist, a flowing train and over-the-knee boots.

Next saw a more urban edge to the show with Cheryl clad in a hooded crop top and low-slung trousers that framed her very flat stomach as she ended the night with Call My Name.

With a show like this, we predict we’ll be calling/writing/tweeting her name for a very long time.
