Cheryl Cole rumoured to host TV chat show to rival Oprah Winfrey

Cheryl Cole has reportedly been in talks with Sky1 about being the face of a chat show

Cheryl Cole may be making waves with her music and writing efforts but she’s also set to heat things up on the small screen as she’s rumoured to return to the box as the star of her very own TV chat show.

Fresh from the success of her recent solo tour and latest autobiography, rumours have surfaced that a TV job is in the pipeline.

The Daily Star report Cheryl has been offered a ‘lucrative contract’ to make a triumphant return to our screens with a chat show on Sky1. Channel chiefs are believed to have high hopes for the programme and would like to see Cheryl emulate the success of Oprah Winfrey’s empire.

A source told the newspaper: ‘Sky1 are desperate to get Cheryl to sign up. They’ve been in talks for a while and believe they will have wrapped up the deal within the next month.’

It’s hoped the show will take a more emotional and confessional approach and Cheryl will be tasked with getting juicy revelations from guests.

On the X Factor UK, Cheryl won the title of being the nation’s sweetheart thanks to her compassion and support for contestants. No doubt she’ll do the same if her first TV show comes about.
