Cheryl Cole moving to LA?

Pal Derek Hough's step-dad has hinted the songstress plans to decamp to the US, to be closer to be her rumoured beau, and work on her career stateside

Earlier this week, reports began to circle that Cheryl Cole had landed a place on Simon Cowell’s sought after American X Factor panel, and could be heading stateside early next year. Now it’s thought the star could be set to move out of her British pad, and head to the US permanently, to be closer to Derek Hough, and work on her American career.

According to reports, Mrs C is on her way out of the £6million Surry pad – aptly named Hurtmore House – she shared with ex-hubby Ashley Cole, and is poised to purchase an apartment closer to London, and a swanky stateside residence.

But despite reports suggesting Cheryl could be selling up, it’s thought the star could have given the house to Ashley, as part of the their divorce settlement.

‘Ashley and Cheryl have come to an agreement,’ one insider revealed. ‘Ashley will keep the house as part of the final financial settlement.

‘Cheryl has said that she wants to buy a pad in town – but obviously she is making plans to buy a property in Los Angeles.’

And a member of Mrs C’s close pal (and rumoured new beau) Derek Hough’s family has reportedly confirmed the songstress is considering a move to LA.

‘She came over to see him a few weeks ago,’ Derek’s step-dad Aaron Nelson said of Cheryl’s mad, midweek dash to the US earlier this month.

‘I can say that when you love someone you want to be around them.’

Earlier this week, officials cast doubt on Cheryl’s ability to get a work visa in America, due to her previous assault conviction.
