After spending a week hiding out in LA, the star is on her way back to London for a showdown with Ashley Cole
After spending a week holed up in LA debating the future of her marriage to Ashley, Cheryl Cole has finally boarded a plane bound for London.
It's been reported that during the last few days the star has spent long periods in her hotel room with close friends talking through her options, after fresh allegations of Ashley's infidelity.
She's also been spotted out and about with dancer Derek Hough, who starred in her Parachutes video and has been helping her through the crisis.
And now Cheryl's thought to have cancelled a promotional trip to the Netherlands in order to plan her split from Ashley.
It seems she has decided there is no way to repair her shattered marriage, and is on her way back to Britain to hammer out a settlement.
It was reported earlier in the week that the star sent Ashley a text message stating: 'Move out. It's over,' so her hubby is probably already aware of what is to come.
And it's expected a permanent split could be announced in days.
Cheryl cut a lone figure out and about in LA, but it has even been suggested that she might consider a move to the US for a new start following her break-up.
This would certainly please X-Factor boss Simon Cowell, who has been trying to coax her stateside for some time now.
The star is rumoured to have viewed at least one property during her LA break.
