The X Factor songstress has been battling with the deadly infection for weeks now, after picking it up during a holiday to Tanzania with Dancing With the Stars BFF, Derek Hough.
Despite a stint in intensive care at a specialist hospital for tropical diseases, Cheryl has now been discharged and is resting up at home, with a 24-hour nurse on hand to keep tabs on her progress.
But poor Mrs C has been hit by a yet another worry during her recovery, after losing her voice for five days.
Now it’s said the star’s terrified her voice has been permanently damaged, worrying her singing won’t be the same, even when she’s back to her best.

'Doctors have told her that it will come back, but she's full of worry,' one insider told the Sun.
The source also revealed the star’s been supping hot water with lemon, honey and cinnamon to help her voice back to health.
Meanwhile, Simon Cowell has revealed Cheryl is desperate to get back to work, and has been sending him sneaky text messages during her recovery.
‘The worst is over. The texts are getting increasingly feisty so she is on the mend,’ the media mogul joked.
